All of these services are available to you and can be included in your Support Plan

Carer's Personal Budget

A one-off payment awarded by Barnet Adult Social Services, contingent to you having a Carer’s Assessment done. The money is not means-tested and it may be used to help you achieve the outcomes defined on your Support Plan.

Emergency Scheme

Barnet Carers Emergency Scheme will help to give you peace of mind that the person that you care for will receive support if an emergency arises which prevents you from caring for them. 

Leisure Pass

In partnership with Better, you get free access to the swimming pool and up to 50% discount at the gym and classes. Choose from one of the five Leisure Centres in the borough.

Online Training

Weekly webinars based on NVQ Level II courses on different topics relevant to your caring role, such as Infection Control, Dementia Awareness, Challenging Behaviours, and much more.

Short Term Counselling

You can access 8 telephone or video call sessions, plus one initial consultation, with one of our trainee Counsellors who supervised by a registered Counsellor and Psychotherapist.

Support Calls

Request a regular phone call with one of the Adult Carer’s Support Coordinator. Calls can be weekly, monthly, or at the frequency you prefer.

Exercise and Wellbeing Classes

Various exercises and wellbeing sessions with our partners from the Kindness Club, Don’t Tone Alone, Not a Care in the World and Angie Keep Calm and Sing.

Form Filling

One-to-one appointments with an expert that will help you fill out benefit related forms such as Carers Allowance, Attendance Allowance, Universal Credit, and more.

Employment Support

One-to-one sessions with an employment specialist from our partners from Working for Carers. Get help finding a new paid role, volunteer position or writting your CV.

Benefits and Financial Advice

Get a referral to our partners from Touchpoint Benefits Advice from Inclusion Barnet. They will provide you knowledgeable advise about what benefits you can claim and the best way to do so.

Legal Advice

Our volunteer solicitor offers carers 15 minutes sessions, free of charge, providing legal advice on Power of Attorney, Court of Protection, Wills, Tax Planning and Probate.

Peer Support Groups

Various online Support Groups helping carers to stay connected: Barnet Carers group, Mental Health Support, Parent Carers, and Coffee and Chat.
